The term GT (Gran Turismo) in the automobile industry indicates vehicles intended for long distance travel, for the “Grand Tour”. The vehicles classed GT are high comfort, with advanced technical performance and an attentive eye to design. The new GT glasses are the result of a combination of high performance materials, uniting the solidity and flexibility of steel with the lightness of aluminum and acetate. The frame is made from super thin steel foil, joined with pieces of transparent acetate. The pattern of micro-thin stripes on acetate is characteristic of DERAPAGE, lending this line a futuristic appeal, transposing typical approaches to industrial design into eyewear and creating a visually striking contrast between positive and negative space. The rough texture and the natural tones of the aluminum are enhanced by the metallic or lightly colored hues of the steel frame.
